For a morning news program, I independently put together weekly reported pieces. I arranged, filmed, host, and edited this piece featuring the team at the Boston Parks Department who grows the plants and flowers that populate 60 flower beds in the Boston Public Gardens in a greenhouse on the city's edge.
Below is a sampling of the wide range of work that I produce, host, report for WBUR.

While covering the 2020 primary in New Hampshire for 'Radio Boston,' I put together two field pieces connecting with voters in the state. In this report, I wanted to get a different perspective in the majority-white state and attended a Sunday service at a majority Black Baptist church to hear how they were feeling about the election. In the second piece, I visited an assisted living community. I also produced, booked, and directed two live remote broadcasts of the 'Radio Boston' from the city of Manchester, and was WBUR's producer at Senator Warren's campaign party.

This is a great example of what I love about audio storytelling: A conversation that raises new, compelling questions and brings an audience directly into a new space - in this case, one of the art galleries at the historic Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. For this piece, I pitched the story, produced the interview, scripted questions, and was the sound engineer on-site and the sound engineer who edited the piece and scripted the final piece.

In Spring 2020, our team grappled every day with the number of people who had died from the coronavirus, and we wanted to talk about it on air. I tracked down and reached out to a family who had experienced the loss of a husband and father for this conversation. I also connected with a pastor who had been with coronavirus patients in their final moments. While it required many tough conversations, I am proud I was able to create a space for our community to come together to process the individual and collective loss we were all experiencing from this pandemic.
Breaking News Hour for WBUR's Radio Boston:
Officials, Politicians, Law Enforcement And Environmental Experts React To Merrimack Valley Gas Explosions

This piece won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award in New England in 'Breaking News' in 2019.
After large gas explosions overnight in the Merrimack Valley, I was a part of a team that put together a smart, fast-paced program with the latest news as the region grappled with the fallout. We spoke with people who had been displaced from their homes, national and local leaders, and analysts to help us access what may be next in the region.

Marking 100 Years Of Women's Suffrage In Mass.

In summer 2019, I hosted, scripted, and edited a full hour of Radio Boston marking 100 years of women's suffrage in Massachusetts. This piece included two original interviews I conducted, and featured sound I gathered from local events I attended marking the milestone in Massachusetts. For the hour, I spoke with experts on the significance and also put a spotlight on the Black women who also made it possible.
