Video Work

Below is a sampling of video pieces I've produced, edited, and hosted.

The majority of these pieces are from my work while earning my masters at Boston University.

Capstone Short Documentary Film:

Covering Trump

To view the full film, please click here.

During his campaign, President Trump had a highly irregular relationship with journalists. For him, the press was the enemy. He isolated journalists during campaign rallies, attempted to delegitimize their coverage as "fake news," and urged his supporters to follow suit. President Trump has fundamentally changed how politicians and political candidates interact with journalists. Featuring interviews with Sopan Deb (The New York Times, CBS News), best-selling author Caryl Rivers, and broadcast journalist R.D. Sahl (NECN), "Covering Trump" chronicles the treatment of the press and young journalists during the 2016 campaign.

Environmental Short Documentary Film:

Restoring Boston's Dirty Water

This short documentary explores the history of the billion-dollar clean up of the Boston Harbor.

I was the primary producer and editor for the work, and personally arranged and conducted interviews with former Mass. Governor Michael Dukakis and the head of Boston's Sewage Treatment Plant.

Local News Feature:

The Greenhouse Behind the Boston Public Garden

For a morning news program, I independently put together weekly reported pieces. I arranged, filmed, hosted, and edited this feature piece spotlighting the team at the Boston Parks Department who grows the plants and flowers that populate 60 flower beds in the Boston Public Garden in a greenhouse on the city's edge.

Breaking News Piece:

Hostage Threat at Boston University A Hoax

When the Boston University Police Department received a call from a man who said he had guns, explosives, and a hostage at Boston University's library, I was one of the reporters on the scene. I produced, hosted, and filmed this breaking news piece about the response outside the library in under five hours that day.

Feature Short Documentary

The New England Backgammon Club

Backgammon is one of the oldest board games in the world, but the game is kept alive by the New England Backgammon Club. I produced, filmed, interviewed, and edited this narrative short documentary on the club.
